Caretaker/Site Manager

Job Title: Caretaker 
Salary: £8,817 per annum (term time only)
Hours: 12 hrs p/w + overtime available by mutual agreement
Contract: Permanent

The Wyche is seeking to appoint a competent, capable and reliable individual to work as caretaker across both sites. As a church school it is important to us to appoint someone who will take pride in our premises and ensure they are safe places, that allow our pupils and staff to flourish. The successful candidate will also benefit from our welcoming schools and inclusive ethos.

The successful applicant will have experience in repairs, maintenance and premises upkeep, and be able to carry out and log statutory checks (such as fire alarm testing and water temperature logging.

1:1 SEND TA (Key Stage 2)

The Wyche is seeking a warm and nurturing person to work 1:1 supporting a boy in Year 3 who has an EHCP to ensure they can safely and fully access the curriculum, achieve targeted learning milestones, and build independent social and life skills within an inclusive mainstream environment.

 

The post-holder will work closely under the guidance of the Class Teacher and SENCO to deliver strategies outlined within the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or individual learning framework. This post will include a lunchtime duty supporting the pupil to play safely and integrate in school life.

Disclosure Barring Service (DBS)
This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands, or final warnings, as well as convictions. The County Council has a commitment to safeguarding service users in our care.
